TIME is:
a fickle thing you see
sometimes fast; sometimes slow
it can be
changing faces, minds, and trends
before you can blink
disguising its course
with a turn of its Master key.
Now TIME is: a revealer of
secrets, lies, motives, and rumors,
surprise endings,
and its ironic sense
of wilted humor.
TIME is stubborn:
marching ever forward and never looking back
refusing to wait
forcing you to respect its gait,
whether sooner or late
transcending all boundaries
binding us one and all
in its eternal escape.
TIME is lonely:
It works all alone.
It needs no partner to cover all zones.
TIME is powerful:
A great instructor
it proves to be
teaching each one his own lesson
you can't refuse to see.
It can't be controlled, only managed gingerly
you'll become what it makes you
unless you shape the parentheses...(1900- )
If you don't make something of your time, it will make something of you. But not necessarily something
that you would approve.
Yet TIME is uncompromised:
whether you win or lose
beginning and terminating
precious relationships
without apologies or dues.
TIME is kind:
cradling miracles, fortunes, discovery, and fame.
TIME is cruel:
hurling tragedies, disasters, and misery untamed.
TIME is dark:
incubating regret, jealousy, rage, and pain
basking in hell our existence is bane.
TIME is so precious:
too valuable to waste it
costly when you chase it
threatening when you feel it
slippery when you steal it
expensive when you borrow it
priceless on tomorrow; IF.
TIME is ever-present:
but never now
through quantum leaps and slivered seconds
generosity is rarely endowed.
creating infinite parallels, and symmetries
but ultimately unforeseen,
weaving a tapestry divine
thanks for the memories.
And TIME is a matter of:
the things it builds and erodes
principles, trust, humility, and pride
Ye shall reap what you sow.
Alas, TIME speaks:
to us, but only twice
saying; "Hello there. Welcome to the world.
You are number kazillion and three.
I am your friend, don't worry about me."
The next time that it calls, it states with pious foul;
"I've got your number. Please take your final bow.
Until we meet again, Good Bye...for now."
